FilmEU_RIT: Reflections and Achievements of the Pilot Projects

On October 4, FilmEU staff and academics met to present and discuss the outcomes and lessons learned from FIlmEU_RIT’s pilot projects over the first four years of funding.

Since its inception, FilmEU_RIT has helped to build research capacity around artistic research for the future European University of Film and Media Arts.

The seed and seminal funding has helped to form new research groups - Dynamic Research Clusters - and engage a range of researchers at different career stages.

The findings also showed how joint supports came out of learning around the management of these projects, with each project using and reviewing a different method of tracking progress and keeping teams in contact – such as Microsoft Teams, Discord and Asana.

The Future Joint Research Office will also respond to any needs for support that came out of these projects while a new annual scholarly journal, Live Interfaces is also being published.
